    The island of Andros is ranked as Bahamas’ largest island.  Spread over 6,000 sq km, this island on the contrary is the least densely populated of all the Bahamian islands. The population of the place is around 6,000 residents. The island is broken into 3 major islands; they are South Andros, Mangrove Cave and North Andros. The island of Andros houses the third largest barrier reef in the world at 225 km in length. This reef is more popularly known as “Big Yard”. As seen all over the Bahamas, tourism is the lifeline of Andros as well. However, unlike most of the other parts of the country, the interiors of this island have been largely unexplored.     Nassau is the capital city of the wonderful Bahamas.  The city is located on the New Providence islands.  The city is without a shadow of a doubt the most populous among Bahamian cities and areas.  The city alone houses 80% of the entire Bahamian population and in real terms is a home to around 260,000 persons of the entire 330,000 Bahamian population as a whole. The Lynden Pindling International Airport is a major airport and is located 16 km west of the capital city. Historically, the city of Nassau has been a stronghold of the pirates. However, thanks to the Brits, there are no dangers anymore.  Nassau is famous the world over for its casinos and nightlife.
