The island of Andros is ranked as Bahamas’ largest island.  Spread over 6,000 sq km, this island on the contrary is the least densely populated of all the Bahamian islands. Nassau is the capital city of the wonderful Bahamas.  The city is located on the New Providence islands.  The city is without a shadow of a doubt the most populous among Bahamian cities and areas.  The city alone houses 80% of the entire Bahamian population and in real terms is a home to around 260,000 persons of the entire 330,000 Bahamian population as a whole.
