Freeport is a city in the marvelous Bahamas. As the name suggest, it is a free trade zone and is located on the island of Grand Bahama. The city is second in population to Nassau with around 28,000 residents.

A striking feature about Freeport is the area is very clean. Be it the roads or beaches, you will love to be there. Besides, the people are very clean, same goes to the staff of the hotels or the guys manning the coastline. Rest assured, you can consider yourselves in safe hands once in Freeport.

Some of the major landmarks of the city include the Freeport Harbor. This harbor hosts the largest of vessels and also has a cruise terminal along with a container port. It also houses ship maintenance and private yacht facilities.

It is recommended one visit Freeport in the months of October through May. The weather is known to be pleasant during these months.
